The first priority for lacquering work by our company is to use only traditional methods and materials.

Nowadays, with chemical paints such as cashews, putty, surfacers and other base materials,
Even inexperienced workers are now able to do lacquer-style work, and in fact, such construction is often done at temples.
In addition, even if it is a traditional method, the base using animal glue is not very robust because it is vulnerable to moisture.
And even the beauty of the finish is not as good as the one with a base made of Honkataji.

Our method is the best method for urushi lacquering in architecture,
Honkataji -> natural urushi brush painting -> Roiro mirror finish is a series of standard method.
(For details, see About the process.)

All the urushi I use are natural urushi from the urushi tree. Without diluting with thinner etc. and using spray etc.
Apply by hand using a special urushi brush made of human hair. Finishing By applying Roiro, a smooth mirror finish is achieved.
Since the reflective object can be seen well in the mirror finish,
we have made it firmly from the base stage so that the reflective object will not be distorted.

The urushi coating completed through such a process has excellent durability and toughness,
Once applied, it is highly possible that it will be possible to maintain its beauty in units of 100 years.
Currently, even in Japan, craftsmen who have ‘Honkataji -> natural urushi brush painting -> Roiro
mirror finishing technology are rare.

There is value in “work that no one else can do” rather than “work that anyone can do”!
